The Director of Regional Development will be responsible for executing the Race for Hope in Washington DC and the Virginia Brain Tumor Walk and Race in Richmond, Virginia along with other key special events and projects in the Greater DC area. The Virginia Brain Tumor Walk occurs the first weekend in November. The Director of Regional Development will have an excellent understanding of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) and will be immersed in these communities, having knowledge of key people in the area. The individual chosen for this position will thrive in building relationships and meeting with people in a face-to-face manner. This position requires the ability to exercise good judgment and professionalism in a variety of situations. Strong organizational and people skills along with the ability to balance multiple priorities is required. The Director of Regional Development will have experience in motivating and training volunteer leaders to meet the financial and engagement goals of the National Brain Tumor Society. This position requires the successful candidate to have their own reliable transportation.
