Nearly 400 members and other development professionals meet frequently to learn from AFP-International’s resources and participate in a range of chapter offerings, including:

Nominations Now Open for Outstanding Philanthropist and Foundation of the Year

AFP Maryland is seeking nominations as we prepare to honor an Outstanding Philanthropist and Foundation in Maryland.  True to the meaning of philanthropy, the Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year Award and the Outstanding Foundation of the Year Award both recognize the contribution of money, along with time and skill, to promote the well being of others and the betterment of the community.  Recipients and nominees of these awards exemplify the true spirit of giving. 

AFP Maryland, in partnership with the Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the Baltimore Business Journal, will host National Philanthropy Day on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at the Baltimore  Renaissance Harborplace Hotel.The deadline for nominations is Friday, June 1.

Fundraising Day in Maryland with Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Luncheon to Honor Ray Daue

Ericka Alston-Buck, Chief Strategist at EAB Strategy & Impact and founder of The Kids Safe Zone  will kick off the day with an inspiring morning keynote and special guest, Franklyn Baker, President and CEO of United Way of Central Maryland will be our luncheon keynote speaker.

AFP Maryland is delighted to announce the selection of Ray Daue as the 2018 Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year.  Ray was nominated by the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation and will be honored at the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award Luncheon.  We will also honor Maryland Nonprofits at the luncheon in recognition of the 20th anniversary of their Standards for Excellence Institute.
