The Maryland Food Bank is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Senior Director, Philanthropy to help lead and grow our individual giving program at a critical moment for our mission. This leadership role serves as a true “player-coach,” combining frontline fundraising responsibilities with strategic team leadership and mentorship. The Senior Director will oversee major gifts, mid-level giving, and planned giving efforts while directly supervising fundraising and stewardship staff and maintaining a portfolio of high-capacity donors. This position will partner closely with the Vice President, Philanthropy to shape fundraising strategy, advance campaign readiness efforts, and strengthen long-term philanthropic growth across the organization. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and mission-aligned leader who can build authentic donor relationships, coach and inspire teams, and translate strategy into coordinated action that drives revenue growth and deepens donor engagement. The role also plays a key part in fostering a joyful, inclusive culture of philanthropy grounded in trust, collaboration, and equity-centered leadership. Candidates should bring 8–10+ years of progressive fundraising, business development, or sales experience, including demonstrated success managing high-capacity donor portfolios and leading fundraising strategy and performance. Experience with campaign environments, planned giving, donor stewardship, and cross-functional collaboration is strongly preferred.
The Advancement & Engagement Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring the success of events, outreach efforts, and advancement operations at the Maryland School for the Blind. This position combines event coordination, administrative operations, and donor data support to ensure that the organization’s engagement and fundraising efforts are well-organized, efficient, and impactful.
