The Small Shop Roundtable gives development professionals, EDs, and board members alike the opportunity to learn about best practices for fundraising in a small shop setting. Sample topics include Major Gifts, Marketing and Communications, Donor Recognition, Direct Mail, Development Plans, Special Events, and Best Practices for Working With Your Board. Monthly Roundtable meetings of the AFP Maryland chapter are open to members only


AFP Maryland special interest Roundtables are an informal, but highly informative gathering of fundraising professionals who have challenges in common. Structure and requirements vary among groups and fundraisers are encouraged to reap the benefits of attending a roundtable or several in their areas of interest. For many of us, it's a relief to find that others have not only experienced some of the same challenges we face, but that they also have suggested solutions!

Meetings run 60- 90 minutes to accommodate the busy fundraiser's schedule. 

Non-members are welcome to attend any of the Roundtables once as a guest (i.e. once at annual, once at small shop, etc.).
