About the Role:

As the Director of Community Engagement and Development, you will be at the heart of our organization, driving our community engagement and fundraising strategies that raise resources and awareness about our mission. Reporting directly to CEO, you will plan and implement a comprehensive fundraising program with the community and the people we serve at its center.

Our mission: Improve the health of Marylanders experiencing food insecurity and chronic illness by preparing and delivering medically tailored meals and providing nutrition education, thereby achieving racial, social, and health equity.

We are seeking a person with extensive experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, donor cultivation and stewardship, planned giving, grassroots fundraising and board engagement. The Director prioritizes time and activities based on the following allocation:

• Organizational and Department Leadership: 20%
• Fundraising: 60%
• Communications and Volunteer Engagement: 15%
• Other duties: 5%

Moveable Feast’s FY25 budget is $6.1 million. The Director of Development and Community Engagement is responsible for individual, corporate, foundation and event fundraising totaling just over $2 million.

Salary Range: $99,000 - $104,500
