About Us:
Cecil College is centrally located in Maryland’s most northeastern county, just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore, as well as from Wilmington, Delaware. With a diverse student population, Cecil College enrolls approximately 2,500 credit students and 3,400 non-credit students. 
Cecil offers associate degrees, certificate programs and non-credit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.

Responsibilities:
The executive director oversees the staff and board of the Cecil College Foundation, developing its strategic plan and serving as the college’s primary fundraiser and advancement representative. The executive director is responsible for all Foundation operations including development, cultivation, board relations, special events, and alumni relations. The executive director designs, plans and implements the annual and employee campaigns as well as major gift and capital campaigns.

This position reports to the vice president and works collaboratively with the president’s team to assess needs and develop necessary resources.

Requirements:
Master’s degree required. A minimum of 7 years of successful fundraising experience including annual fund and alumni association management. 5 years of proven fundraising board management and 7 years of donor and corporate cultivation experience. Must have at least five years’ experience working with budget development and fund management. At least five years’ experience supervising a staff.Must possess strong effective oral and written communication skills; be proficient in Microsoft Office and fundraising software (Abilia, Sage).

Preference will be given to candidates that have at least 10 years of experience designing and implementing all aspects of a successful annual fund and alumni association given, providing strategic vision and leadership for a volunteer fundraising board.Position posted until filled.
