Reporting to the Chief Development/Marketing Officer and working in conjunction with the Development/Marketing team and Executive Director of the Penn-Mar Foundation, the Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for planning and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that enhance the organization's brand, position within the marketplace, fundraising capabilities, and internal communications. This is a full-time, hybrid position that requires expertise in both marketing strategy and day-to-day execution. The role demands a balance of creativity and analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive, detailed approach. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Develop and oversee the marketing and communications strategies for both internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Lead the creation and execution of various marketing and fundraising campaigns that effectively promote the organization's mission, programs, and services, and secure donations. Lead and mentor a team of two marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence, and work closely with the rest of the Development team. Act as the primary contact for all public relations matters, proactively managing the organization's reputation, coordinating media outreach, responding to media inquiries, and preparing team members for media engagements. Manage a roster of PR, graphic design, videography, print, and branded products vendors.
