SUMMARY
The Assistant Director of Annual Giving primary responsibility is the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, fulfilling the annual giving goals toward the overall development goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES
Strategic Direction

  • Develops and executes annual giving solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship strategies and plans and maintains annual giving calendar to build a solid foundation of annual support.

Cultivation & Stewardship

  • Identifies individual, corporate and foundation prospects, conducts and records prospect research and wealth screenings, records and updates actions, and maintains moves management system.

Appeals

  • Assumes primary responsibility for the development and creation of all direct mail and online appeals including concept development, design and writing.

Management

  • Oversees responsibility for the integrity of data services, ensuring accuracy of data entry, coding of appeals and all revenue sources. Requests data pulls for mailings, financial reports, and other reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, CFRE preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of development experience, with direct knowledge of annual giving programs including direct mail, acquisition, online giving and social fundraising.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with donor databases, Raiser’s Edge preferred
