November 14, 2024 - Camden YardsAFP Maryland Chapter will celebrate the invaluable contributions that philanthropy has made in Maryland communities by presenting several awards during our National Philanthropy Day celebration. Join us as we celebrate the collective efforts and shared values of fundraising and philanthropy through compassion and unity to address the needs and challenges within our community. Nominations are now open for the Champion of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Emerging Fundraising Professional, Fundraising Mentor of the Year, Creative Campaign of the Year, Career Achievement Award, and new this year, the Corporate Philanthropy Leadership Award; highlighting one staff member of a foundation or corporate philanthropy department that has exemplifies partnership in the Maryland nonprofit network. Nominations are open through October 3rd. Outstanding members of the philanthropic community have been recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Maryland Chapter since 1994. Please see the list of our past awardees. We are thrilled to host this year's event at Camden Yards, and look forward to sharing registration information in the coming weeks! Guidelines for Submitting Nominations**NOMINATIONS DEADLINE EXTENDED** The deadline for submissions has been extended to Thursday, October 3, 2024. You can complete your application here. Nominators are asked to complete a short, two question nomination form for the following award categories:
Evaluation - all applications will be reviewed by the internal AFP Nominations Committee and graded on a rubric. Please review each application prompt carefully, and submit any additional materials in the correct format. Supporting documents – such as resumes, newspaper articles, letters of recommendation (limit of 1 per nomination) – are accepted. Supporting documents should be submitted with the application.
