Outstanding Youth Fundraisers and Unsung Heroes

Each year, AFP Maryland honors community agents of philanthropy at its National Philanthropy Day Celebration.  National Philanthropy Day is celebrated nationally each year as a way of giving special recognition to those in our community who work to improve our world in every possibly way.  We thank Connelly & Assoc. Fundraising, LLC for being the Presenting Sponsor of our event this year.

Unsung Heroes

As part of this celebration, we also take time to honor donors and volunteers whose gifts of time, expertise and resources contribute significantly to the success of the not-for-profit agencies and institutions they serve. This occasion is a unique opportunity for organizations to publicly express your appreciation for their own Unsung Heroes

An Unsung Hero award is the chance to publicly honor those who do so much to enhance philanthropic support in our community who may not otherwise gain recognition. These individuals have demonstrated exceptional commitment in volunteer and fundraising projects in years (or hours) benefiting various charitable organizations.

This year's honorees include:

  1. Michelle Green, BARCS

  3. Dan Campbell, Mission of Mercy
  4. Covenant Guild, University of Maryland Children's Hospital
