Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year: Ray Daue

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Maryland Chapter is delighted to announce the selection of Ray Daue as the 2018 Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year.  Ray was nominated by the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center Foundation

Ray Daue, senior vice president at Willis Towers Watson in Hunt Valley, has been chairman of the Foundation Board of University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center since December 2012. Over the past five years, Ray and his board have raised $25 million, from nearly 4,000 donors that includes more than 10,000 gifts. Funds raised support programs and services to benefit the patients who turn to St. Joe’s for their health care.

Ray has been actively raising funds over the past 40 years for local non-profits, securing an estimated $15+ million to serve a wide range of causes in our community, including Calvert Hall College, Catholic Charities, Special Olympics and First Tee of Baltimore.

AFP Maryland will celebrate his achievements at the annual Fundraising Day in Maryland Conference’s Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award Luncheon, presented by Connelly & Assoc. Fundraising, LLC, on Monday, June 4 at the BWI Airport Marriott.
